Warehouse Assistant

We are looking for a proactive and organized Warehouse Assistant to support our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will handle a variety of tasks, including deliveries, pickups, inventory management, and operating a forklift to ensure the continuous flow of materials in and out of the warehouse. Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery and Collection of Materials: Coordinate and assist in the delivery and collection of materials, ensuring timely and accurate handling.
  • Arrange Material Returns: Manage the process of returning materials, ensuring that items are properly accounted for and returned to suppliers when necessary.
  • Verify Goods: Inspect incoming and outgoing materials to confirm that they match order details and are free of defects or discrepancies.
  • Dispatch Materials: Oversee the packaging and dispatch of materials for delivery, ensuring orders are fulfilled accurately.
  • Validate Bills of Materials for Dispatch: Review and verify the bills of materials for each shipment to ensure that all required items are included.
  • Sorting Goods in the Warehouse: Organize and sort materials within the warehouse to maintain a tidy and efficient storage system.
  • Weekly Reports and Inventory Counting: Perform inventory counts at least once a week and prepare accurate reports on stock levels and any discrepancies.
  • Operating a forklift: Operate a forklift safely to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintaining Order and Cleanliness: Ensure the correct organization of materials and maintain a clean and tidy workspace.
Ratings:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience driving a forklift (preferably certified).
  • Previous experience in warehouse operations.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50lbs).
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy in material and inventory handling.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and reporting.
Compensation: $16.00 per hour
